First tooth, Bumbo safety, and artsy broccoli

Freya has her very first tooth peeping through! I was so excited when I felt it, and when she finally let me see it. Her hair has also been getting in her eyes again. I kind of don't want to cut it so it can grow long. But it's so fine the barrettes always fall out. Anyone with very fine hair have tips??

The weather for the past week has been AMAZING. We got to eat and play outside a bunch. So nice for them to eat outside - calming AND 90% less cleanup.

Thankful for my wonderful little girls :-)

PJ party

A series of Signe and the Bumbo. The girls dragged it over in front of the couch together, then later Signe decided to use it as a step. I'm not sure a safety belt would help where Signe is concerned...

First Time at Ella's

That's right, it was the girls' first trip to Ella's Deli, kids' paradise. They even have a special meal for kids under 1, amazing! Wish more restaurants had that (if anyone knows of others, share!). There's a picture below.

Otherwise - playing, exploring, growing, babbling, cruising, etc. Kurt and I went to Pondamonium last week, courtesy of his parents. We saw Garbage and the Flaming Lips. Super fun! And the girls went down great with the babysitter. Very enjoyable night out.

In mommy news: today was my last day working! I have just a very few loose ends to tie up, and then I'm officially a SAHM. I think it'll be really good. I just got an article passed along from another professional woman - turned SAHM - turned back to professional woman that was very encouraging. It's from 1993 so I can't find it online. I can't seem to attach it to a post, but if anyone is interested I can email it. Upward and onward!

Togetherness

Well it's really starting to happen. Eight and a half months in, and having twins is starting to pay off. They want to be near each other nearly all the time. Sometimes they even entertain each other. Mostly they pull at each others' clothes, grab a toy away, or use their sister to pull themselves to standing. At least they're not bored!

They each have a favorite book. Freya likes Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See. Signe likes Sesame Street Count With Me 1 2 3. They each pay attention to their favorite far longer, and when I have all the books out they grab them more often.

Freya is still just army crawling. It's hard to convince her to try regular crawling because the wood floors make scooting on her belly easy, and she's gotten pretty quick.

I posted two videos of Freya - one of her giggling, one making some funny sounds. She just started talking up a storm a week or so ago. Lots of ba ba ba ba ba.

Love the dog pjs

Got in the basket

Exploring the hallway together

I put the regular seats in the stroller instead of the inserts for the car seats. It's a pretty sweet stroller, the seats can face any way - both away from me, both towards, away from each other, or towards each other. For now facing each other is the most fun. One time they started laughing back and forth at each other. Love it.

Playing in the pretty dresses Aunt Kerry got for them

And there's the clothes-grabbing

Signe fell asleep in the stroller while we were on a family run. Very rare moment these days of cuddling a sleeping baby.

Playing on the exersaucer together.

Signe's favorite book!

Eating a Mum Mum

Standing and eating. Not what the parenting books recommend I'm sure

They love playing in my nursing pillow. They've spent enough time with it in their lives it's practically family.

Together again!

Double baby hold. More difficult these days

Mmmm momma's coffee cup (just a few drops left)

Crawled in and out of the bathtub herself. She's a talented terror.
