Leif Baptism; Halloween

Look at me doing another post a little more than a week after my previous one! We've had a pretty good week although everyone except me is sick. Freya is sickest as usual with her asthma cough flaring :-(

Halloween was lots of fun, with trick or treating on State Street with daddy and papa, a party at Warner Park on Friday morning, then 1.5 hours of trick or treating in the wind and cold on Halloween itself. Kurt weighed them, each girl collected 3 pounds of candy. They have stick-to-it-iveness, I'll give them that. Leif and I had to escape the cold (and the not nursing) after 30 minutes.

Leif was baptized, with Chris Buehl and Amber Laude as his Godparents, then promptly figured out crawling. He's officially on the move! No teeth yet though he's teething like a mad man. A lot like his sisters, whose teeth didn't actually come through until 9 months.

I've been trying to do a special activity with the girls once Leif goes down for his morning nap. I've had to cut out going places most mornings because he wasn't napping basically at all, or randomly, and that had to stop. Cynthia suggested the special activity idea, and as usual it's a great one. Here they are with water tables (I put hot water from the tap in their containers)

And this was on bean day

Enjoying the last gasps of fall

There are the little bees. They just picked these out themselves, somehow found matching ones with Signe choosing the child size and Freya 24 months - perfect.

At State Street/Capitol trick or treating

He loved this balloon SO MUCH

And our first dusting of snow. They were so excited. Though disappointed when they found out a snowman wasn't going to work yet.

Bees at Warner Park playtime

And my little bat

At the end of playtime when the kids often line up and race from one end to the other

And the party!

I'm in the basement and I hear the girls wake up, then eventually some banging that my mama ears decided probably wasn't threatening life, limb, or property. When I get upstairs, Freya says proudly "Signe gave me her hammer." They were so proud to be sharing. And by "Signe's hammer" they mean the meat tenderizer from the drawer. They were using all these implements to attempt to open a can of peaches. A for effort.

Got out the jumperoo!

I have no idea

I let them transport my leaf pile from its proper place, just raked the day before, to the middle of the yard. YOLO

He is in love with the mirror. Now that he can crawl I'll be in the kitchen and start hearing some laughs, yep, Leif has gotten to the mirror and that hilarious baby in it.

They told me they were off to work at the credit union
