Six months old!

Wow...half a year gone already. I love six months! They're entertaining themselves so well, sleeping and napping better, showing so much personality, laughing, and rapidly working on their locomotion (oh no!) and their sitting up (yay!).

We visited Kurt's family's cottage on the border of the UP for Memorial Day. It went really well! On the way up we just stopped once and had a bit of fussing towards the end, and on the way down they didn't have to get out once on the 5 hour drive. Thank you girls!! We had lots of fun with family up there and even got a bit of relaxing in since people could help us out with the girls. We didn't get to take them swimming in the lake but we did take them on a hike to some waterfalls - Signe in the Moby on me and Freya in the frame backpack on Papa Jack. It was really neat and I think they had a good time.

Freya, Leah, Imani

Jack, Signe, Freya, Leah, Imani, Alanah. And can't forget Montego there underneath Freya and Imani :-) Lots o babies!

More of Freya and Imani. She's gonna be a great big sister, just like her great big sister Alanah!

Even more Freya and Imani. And Signe there playing in the jungle.

Signe being a good standy for Kerry on Kerry's 30th birthday!

Imani napping with Shawn, Freya napping with Charlie. All the babies ended up sick :-(

Another view - with a view out the windows of the lake

And them yesterday with gifts from Quinn and Halley - sadly we missed them by mere days/hours. They were in Green Bay while we were two hours north of them in Iron Mountain :-( Thanks for leaving the presents, it was a nice surprise upon coming home!

Food, games, and other fun times

Documentation of good times commence:

I heart my big sister. And have crazy eyes.

Sister hugs/wrestling

They started out in the middle on their backs. This morning Signe found those sweet wires hanging off the entertainment center you can see here. Baby proofing is going to have to commence.

Swimming

A couple weeks ago I had a training at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva. Kurt took off work and the whole fam came along for three days. We got to take them swimming one night in the kids area at the adventure type pool (and mommy and daddy got to go down two water slides each!). SO CUTE. And they seemed to like it! Looking forward to swimming lessons starting soon.

I didn't bring the camera down to the pool but did take pictures of them in their swimsuits before we went. And I just have to post every one of them, they're so dang cute.

Mother's Day

I had a lovely first Mother's Day - reading in the morning, breakfast made by daddy, chocolate strawberries made by Grandpa Jim and a quick visit from him, then Alchemy for lunch with Kurt's family.
