10 Months Old

10 months is my favorite age yet! I know I say that every month. At some point I would think I'll start at least thinking it's only equal to the previous month. But yes. 10 months - Freya is waving bye bye and hi and taking steps on her own, Signe is clapping and playing peek-a-boo, they're both cruising and crawling and babbling tons of sounds and just being amazingly cute and clever. One proud mama here, as always.

First a video of Signe playing peek-a-boo, then a couple pictures from a nice little 10 month birthday hike we took. Looking forward to more beautiful autumn hikes in our future.

Lara & Pablo Visit and Cheesedays Enhanced

Aunt Lara and Uncle Pablo got to meet the babies for the first time! Everyone but me and Kerry went to the Badger game and hung out before and after (Kerry had to work and I couldn't find a babysitter).

I'm just going to put up about every picture Errol took of the girls at Cheesedays - they are wonderful. A good camera (and good camera man/woman) makes a big difference.

Cheesedays, First Tooth Redux, and Playdates

The girls saw their first parade on Sunday when we travelled to Monroe for Cheesedays. We got to see my cousin Sara and her family, and they got to meet the girls. I have a few cruddy pictures from my phone - Sara's husband Errol took lots of pictures with his fancy camera so we'll have more and better pictures in the future. It was great to see them and we had fun walking around Monroe and watching the parade. Mostly the girls people-watched, but that's part of a parade too right?

Signe got her first tooth on Sunday as well. It's still working its way up - she's having some pain and trouble sleeping, poor girl.

And we had two playdates with twins Betty and Sophia and singleton Olivia. Five babies and three moms turns out to be a not-bad ratio for semi-mobile kids. We are able to block off any edges while allowing everybody to have some freedom to play. We got one picture of all the girls on a play structure, again on my phone, and facing into the sun. Ah well.

We're so looking forward to this weekend when Aunt Lara finally gets to meet the girls in person!!!
