We're Back and Full of Fall

4 months, I believe my longest break from blogging since I started chronicling my growing twin belly 4.5 years ago. And now those little babies who grew inside me until I was almost bigger around than I was tall, are turning 4 at the end of this month!

We are still grieving Grandpa around here. That doesn't ever go away. But we're out there living life and taking pictures of it. So I better get some stuff on the blog so I don't forget it all.

The girls started preschool in September and absolutely love it. It is a small, warm, play-based fun place to be. They are learning all kinds of stuff, like Signe can write her name! She writes an 8 between the "n" and the "e." That's weird. Freya has her F.

Leif went through a big developmental leap a couple weeks ago. He is trying out a lot more words. Often he leans on his very favorite, "ball." An apple is "ah-ball." He loves seeing basketball hoops "ba ball." He has also gotten a whole lot more interested in books - he now brings us books to read. And has a little tantrum if we can't read it to him. Which brings us to the next part of the leap - he is officially a toddler. The tantrums have started. His are fairly gentle and easy to get him out of. We had a world champion tantrum-er in Freya so we certainly know from tantrums. His are cute. He gets mad, lays on the floor, kicks his feet a couple times, then finds something else to do, maybe wants to cuddle.

And he finally is interested in TV. I know, I should not be excited about that. However. Sometimes a mama needs a break.

Ok, little update over. Let's get some pictures on here! (There might be some repeat pictures, I'm having trouble uploading on my phone but people are starting to wake up. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good is my mantra!)

We had a wonderful time as a family yesterday at Minnewaska State Park. Finally got into the (small) mountains! Kurt had the day off because he works until midnight this Friday then all day Saturday :-(
