Just came back from the anatomy ultrasound with great news: we have two healthy big girls!! The doctor reserved her right to be wrong about the sexes (their positions made it a little hard to see), but she, the tech, and Kurt all agreed they saw no man parts. Twin A was very photogenic; Twin B is a squirmer so we don't have a great picture of her. But so neat to see them move in real time! They must really be active because both placentas are anterior (on the front of my uterus) which means the kicks and punches have more cushioning, and yet I feel them all the time.
The doctor said everything looked "fantastico." We saw the 40 fingers and toes :-)
One twin is 14 ounces, the other 15. Nearly a pound each, which is really great and normal! Also everything is ship shape with my cervix which is a good sign for no pre-term labor.
Overall we're so excited and happy. We apologize to the Haag side of the family for bringing the total number of children-of-cousins to five girls and zero boys :-)
Twin A - so cute! (Their heads are cuddled right next to each other :-))
Twin A - hand in mouth!
Twin B - a lot harder to see, but that's her face
We're falling in love already!
Yay! Hennie is thrilled!
