Potty, "Sentence", and Many Pictures

These last couple weeks have been a whirlwind. But fun! The girls are settling into daycare and I'm settling into my job. We've been enjoying the weather on my days off and on the weekend. We busted out the wading pool last weekend and the girls had fun splashing. Both Signe and Freya are picking up tons of new words. They more and more will copy words we just said. Pat even heard Signe say her first confirmed "sentence" (ie more than one word at a time): "please dolly".

We've continued our lackadaisical potty, well, not training. Basically just sitting them on the potty if they say they want to. And a couple nights ago Signe made pee-pee! Not that we're expecting anything regular for awhile, but it's exciting nonetheless. Not until you are a parent is another human being going on the toilet something to get excited about...

Tomorrow we get to see Aunt Lara and Uncle Pablo. And then we'll go up to Kurt's family's cottage on the border of the UP this weekend. Looking forward to traveling in style, in an SUV with Nana and Papa!

Pictures! Lots and lots!

Pretty heart on Freya's dress

My little climber

Look ma, I can do it on Freya's crib too!

Climber, biker...

And backpacker

 Trying to bust loose

Freya's hair is getting a bit too long to leave out of a ponytail methinks

Cleaning up after a lovely Mother's Day breakfast

Bag, dolly, always. She is so nurturing.

Signe likes to wipe her own nose and those of people around her

Toe. Or maybe shoe. Probably shoe. Would you be surprised if I said these girls love shoes along with bags and dollies?

 Reading with Nana

 Ladder-climbing with Papa

 Snack time

 Potty time!

Getting to have pieces of toilet paper is probably their favorite part of potty time so far

 What a goof

 Clump!

I don't even know how to caption this

Pool. You'll notice in all these pictures Freya never lets go of her bath dolly

We found some old discharged phones they can play with

 Not sure about that snake

"No no" - we tell our cat Ray often that he's not allowed to go outside the backyard. Guess if he listens or not?

 And apple snack

I guess the only times she doesn't have dolly is when she is forced to drop her to sate her hunger

 D'awwwww

Playing with the sprinkler feature of the pool

They are not just crazy for their shoes, they are crazy for everyone to be wearing shoes, preferably multiple pairs

 Playing frisbee

Eating corn on the cob - Signe loved it and did very well getting corn off.

 Yay self-timer

Going to friend Charlie's 1st birthday party. What a gorgeous day. Good job being born exactly a year ago Charlie.

 Talking with Julie

 Are these for me Daddy??

Daddy, I'm pretty sure they're for me. Everyone's looking at me
