Running and Swinging

News of the week: I officially signed up for the Haunted Hustle half marathon on Oct 13. I'm going to do it by hook or by crook. It might be by crook though (is that the bad one?) According to my training plan I need to run 10 miles on Saturday. Hmmm. I haven't been tracking my distances but I'm certainly nowhere close to that. Oh well, I'll walk a bunch if I need to. The long runs I'll do on my own, while I'll be doing my two weekly half-hour runs with the girls in the jogging stroller. They seem to like it pretty well, although it doesn't protect them from the sun very well. Where are the 70 degree gray days when you want them??

The girls are sleeping quite well now - really getting used to going down and not fussing much, for naps and at night. All the hard work has finally paid off, thank goodness.

And they're eating their solids like rockstars! We're doing a bunch of finger food now, which helps them develop their skills AND lets Mama be a little lazy during mealtimes. By lazy we all know I mean allow me to eat my own food/drink my morning coffee (mmmm).

Just a few cute pictures this week, no major milestones captured:

They have started to want to be near each other. Still not a whole ton of interaction (apart from grabbing each others' outfits, hair, and toys), but they're certainly aware of each other.

This bag is very popular with babies and cats alike. Love Signe's expression - very Kurt-like.

The aspirator is another popular toy (it's clean!)

Standing in PJs

Swings! We tried them out a bit ago and the babies enjoyed them. So I felt empowered to walk to the park and swing them by myself, then play in the grass (translation: stop Signe from eating plant life every five seconds. Dead leaves are her favorite).

They used to just lie under the jungle and now they sit in it and use it to stand up. My big girls :-)
